Reminder that our next Almaden Winery Neighborhood Association meeting will
be held this Thursday at our community center building The meeting starts at
7:00 PM and will go to about 8:15 PM. There is absolutely no requirement for
you to stay the whole time. Our "Pizza Social" will continue to start at
6:45 PM. So, if you're coming directly from work, please do come since we'll
have something for you to eat and drink.
For our next meeting, we'll have in attendance Nancy Pyle, our new District
10 Councilmember! She and her staff really want to meet members from our
neighborhood and to get to know us. This is an excellent opportunity for us
as well to find out what is on her mind. And, we'll be able to ask her
questions and address any concerns you have with her. A member from Nancy's
staff will continue to attend our regular AWNA meetings to provide us City
and District 10 updates and to hear your concerns or questions.
Additionally, Traci Tokunaga, the Almaden Winery Community Center Building
Supervisor will be in attendance. She would like to brief us on the upcoming
programming for the building and provide details on how you can rent out
facilities for private parties or other activities. She is also very
concerned on the impact the use of the building will have on our
neighborhood; i.e. traffic, parking, noise, etc; especially on the neighbors
on Chambertin who live in close proximity of the building. In the last few
weeks (and yesterday), there have been large gatherings and she suspects
many of you have concerns.
An additional topic will be the youth lot update and the status of the
survey in regards to the colors of the play structure.
And there will be more too! I hope you can attend. Bring a friend or
neighbor!

Hi everyone! With the opening of the Almaden Winery Community Center
Building, we are now moving our AWNA General Meeting back there from the
Vineland Library. Hopefully, being closer to everyone in the neighborhood,
it will be more convenient for you to attend.
I do hope you attend our next meeting as it will be a good one! Lots of
changes all around. More on that later.
However, the meeting dates have changed that have been previously been
published. At the Vineland Library, we were meeting on the first Tuesday in
the months of February, May, August, October and December. With the switch
to the Almaden Winery CC, the meetings will now be on the first Thursday of
these same months. Therefore, for 2005, the meeting dates are:
Feb 3
May 5
Aug 4
Oct 6
Dec 1
Again, the meeting starts at 7:00 PM and will go to about 8:15 PM. There is
absolutely no requirement for you to stay the whole time. Our "Pizza Social"
will continue to start at 6:45 PM. So, if you're coming directly from work,
please do come since we'll have something for you to eat and drink.

So, mark down these new dates on your calendar for the AWNA meetings.
Thursday is a nice day to have these meetings - toward the end of the week -
so I hope you can attend. Bring a friend or neighbor!
