Goal 2.

High Priority will be given to the needs of the adjoining residents.

  1. The park will be designed to encourage local use.

  1. Two to three park entrances will be provided on each side of the garden to welcome residents.

  1. There will be a main entrance to the park at the corner of Chambertin and Treviso Ave, providing a gateway into the gardens.

  1. The character of the park will reflect a comfortable "backyard" style so as to create an extension of their homes.

    1. Elements will be designed to fall between residential and public scale.

  1. The design details will be developed thoroughly, giving a personalized ambiance like one would give to their own yard.

  1. Another group of local users is the resident wildlife, primarily birds. The park design will consider the needs of these inhabitants.

  1. Appropriate trees and shrubs will be included for habitat.

  1. The sweet songs of wildlife will invite residents into the serene atmosphere of the park.

  1. The general public will be very welcome to enjoy the benefits of this neighborhood park but no elements will be included that are not provided at other parks.
